Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP) Information
As part of the No Child Left behind (NCLB) Act of 2001, we are required to notify parents/guardians when our school has not made Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP). AYP is determined by:
- The percentage of students participating in the MSP/SBAC
- The percentage of students meeting the standards in reading and math
- Unexcused absence rate for Grades 3-5.
The NCLB Act of 2001 also requires districts to inform parents/guardians of options they have as a result of your child’s school not making AYP for two or more consecutive years.
