TMS Absence Guidelines
If your student(s) will be late or absent, please be sure to contact the office or enter the absence into Skyward. You can do this via email at braytonm@tenino.k12.wa.us, or by calling 360-264-3600.
If they have an appointment, please be sure to ask the provider for an excusal slip to turn in to the office. That way, you won't need to park when you drop them off at school. On the other hand, please remember to call the office every day that they are absent during a multi-day illness.
Multi-Day Absence Request
If you are planning to be out of town for multiple days due to a family trip, be sure to complete the Pre Arranged Absence Form. This form need to be taken around to all of your child(rens) classes and be signed off before they are out. Just give the office a call and we will be happy to provide one for your kiddo to take around to teachers. Just remember that the parent will need to fill out the top portion of the form. There is specific criteria that excuses an absence.

Back to school night for the 7th and 8th graders is Wednesday night. Come get a hot dog and chips at 6pm, and doors open at 6:30pm. Students can get their Chromebook, get their locker, and find their classes until 7:30pm.

Mrs. Suydam has worked in Tenino since 1995 where she began as a student helper. The following year, she spent some time as a part time school secretary and sub before moving into a full time school secretary position, where she has been ever since!
Mrs. Suydam says that it has been an honor to be a part of so many students going through the school all these years. She’s going to miss watching the growth that happens in middle school, although sometimes difficult, it’s an amazing transformation.
Her plans for retirement and the future include travel, family, friends, fun, and relaxation! We wish you all the best in this next phase of life!🫶🌿✈️
8th Grade Promotion will be held Monday, June 16, at 9:00 a.m. in the Tenino Middle School Gymnasium.

This Friday, June 13th is the TMS Whole School Field Trip. Chaperones please be at TMS by 9am.
Our last Saturday School of the year is this Saturday, May 31st from 8am to noon. This is a great time for students to get one on one help and work on missing assignments. If you would like your student to attend please call the TMS office and let us know.
8th Grade Families,
The permission slips for the 8th grade field trip to the Mariners game are due Tuesday June 3rd. Late permission slips will not be accepted.
The 8th grade field trip to the Mariners vs Orioles game is Thursday June 5th. Permission slips are due Tuesday June 3rd. Students will leave at 9am and be back around 6pm. Students will need to be picked up from TMS that evening. The stadium is cashless, so students who wish to purchase food or items will need to have a card or electronic method of payment. We are still looking for volunteers to help chaperone, so please contact the TMS office if you are able to do so.
Congrats to the THS Esports Rocket League team who claimed first place in the state championship on Sunday. We're super proud of you.
