This is a friendly reminder that Wednesday, October 8th is an ACT Early Dismissal Day!

Dismissal Times are as follows:

Parkside Elementary: Dismiss at 11:30am
Tenino Elementary: Dismiss at 11:40am
Tenino Middle School: Dismiss at 11:45am
Tenino High School: Dismiss at 11:50am

It's National Custodian Day!! We are grateful for our amazing team of custodians across the district! Thank you for keeping our schools clean and safe for our students!

Monday, Oct 6th kicks off Spirit Week with a twist.... There's a homeroom competition per grade for which class has the best spirit representation! The prize? An icecream sandwich party for the whole class!!
Here are the details:
Monday: White Lies (wear a white shirt or tape paper to your shirt with an obvious lie about you).
Tuesday: Dress for all 4 Seasons in one outfit
Wednesday: Pink Out!
Thursday: Throwback Thursday (dress in the style of a particular decade)
Friday: School color & gear

Co-Ed Wrestling and Girls Basketball is starting on October 20th. Be sure to have completed Final Forms, paid for an ASB card and your sport, and have had a physical that states, "cleared for all sports".
Boys Basketball is scheduled to start on January 5th, when we return from winter break.

Hi TMS Families,

Our pile of lost lunch boxes keeps getting bigger. If your student is missing their lunch box, please have them check the lost and found. It's probably there.

TMS School Picture day is Sept 26th.

Hi 6th grade families,

Students should be arriving at TMS today around 2pm. You can come pick them up from the TMS gym as soon as they arrive. Please park by the tennis courts so we are not blocking the busses.

Hi TMS Families,

We already have clothes and lunch boxes pilling up in our lost and found. If your student is missing something please have them check or come in and check the lost and found.

TMS Absence Guidelines
If your student(s) will be late or absent, please be sure to contact the office or enter the absence into Skyward. You can do this via email at braytonm@tenino.k12.wa.us, or by calling 360-264-3600.

If they have an appointment, please be sure to ask the provider for an excusal slip to turn in to the office. That way, you won't need to park when you drop them off at school. On the other hand, please remember to call the office every day that they are absent during a multi-day illness.

Multi-Day Absence Request
If you are planning to be out of town for multiple days due to a family trip, be sure to complete the Pre Arranged Absence Form. This form need to be taken around to all of your child(rens) classes and be signed off before they are out. Just give the office a call and we will be happy to provide one for your kiddo to take around to teachers. Just remember that the parent will need to fill out the top portion of the form. There is specific criteria that excuses an absence.

Back to school night for the 7th and 8th graders is Wednesday night. Come get a hot dog and chips at 6pm, and doors open at 6:30pm. Students can get their Chromebook, get their locker, and find their classes until 7:30pm.

Back to school night for 6th grade is Thursday night. Hot dogs at 6pm, meet the teachers at 6:20pm and doors open at 6:45pm.
