We would like to send a huge THANK YOU to our community! The successful passing of the levy reflects the community's commitment to Tenino students, staff and our schools. The Japanese 3 class at Tenino High School had a special guest this week! Ms. Leslie Brooks came to teach students Ikebana and they turned out beautiful! ๐ŸŒฟ๐ŸŒธ๐ŸŒบ๐ŸŒน๐ŸŒท๐ŸŒผ๐Ÿ’ Ikebana is the Japanese art of flower arrangement. It is also known as kadล. The tradition dates back to Heian period, when floral offerings were made at altars. Later, flower arrangements were instead used to adorn the tokonoma of a traditional Japanese home. Thank you Ms. Leslie Brooks for taking time out of your day to visit our school!

Some of our Kindergarten students at Parkside drew monsters and Tenino High School Art 1 students sewed them into stuffies using felt! The best part was getting to walk them over for a special hand delivery! The connections that many of our high school students share with our younger students and the presence that they have in our elementary schools, are so special. From classroom TA's to projects like this one, it is so exciting to see these connections!

Tenino High School Senior, Grace Hiatt has served as a Student Board Representative since 2022 and we're so happy to have her! Join us in thanking Grace for her hard work, dedication, and time that goes into being a Student Representative, all while being a student and member of the Tenino Pep Band! Thank you Grace!

Did you know there is a Ballot Box located just in front of the District Office? It makes for a quick and easy drop off! We do recommend making sure you avoid school drop off/pick up during the weekdays. Drop off times are typically about 7:45 to 8:30am and pick up times are between 2 and 3pm! Donโ€™t forget to VOTE! ๐Ÿ—ณ๏ธโฐ๐Ÿ“
