Dear Parents/Guardians of Tenino High School Students: With our shift to a 4-day in-person learning model starting this coming Monday, May 3rd, our transportation staff have worked hard to update necessary changes to morning and afternoon bus schedules to accommodate a larger number of students riding to and from school. Please take time to review the new a.m. and p.m. routes and bus stops posted on our website at https://5il.co/pebe if you have students needing to ride the bus as changes have been made that could affect the routes and/or stop times and locations for your student(s). If you have questions regarding your child's transportation services, please call our transportation provider, First Student, at 360-339-4370.

Congratulations to Rainier High School for winning the March Food Drive Competition! Rainier collected a total of 10,411.2 pounds and Tenino collected 7,306 pounds. We would like to thank everyone who donated to both community foodbanks. This is such an amazing event and as someone posted online, “Everyone Wins in this contest!" Great Job Rainier! We are already planning on how to bring the trophy back to Tenino next year!

Welcome
Dear Tenino High School Parents/Guardians: For those of you who indicated your student would be participating in our hybrid learning program starting Monday, March 8th, and also indicated that your student was planning to ride a school bus, our bus route information for Groups A and B are now posted on the transportation page of the district's website (or at https://5il.co/pebe) so you can help prepare your student. Please review this route information to identify the bus stop closest to your address for both the a.m. and p.m. routes for the group your student has been assigned. As a reminder, Group A students will attend school in person on Mondays and Thursdays. Group B students will attend on Tuesdays and Fridays. Group A starts at THS on Monday, March 8th. Group B starts on Tuesday, March 9th. For any students with special needs that have already been attending classes in person with us, those attendance schedules and bus rides remain unchanged unless the school contacted you individually to communicate any changes for your child. If you have any transportation-related questions next week, please contact our transportation office at 360-339-4370. Thank you.

Dear Tenino Families, In collaboration with our employee groups the District now has a solid date to reopen in-person learning at THS. As in the previous plan we will be using a hybrid A/B model with students in group ‘A’ attending all day on Mondays and Thursdays, group ‘B’ students attending all day on Tuesdays and Fridays, with Wednesday being a remote day for all students. The start date for THS is: March 8, 2021 group A March 9, 2021 group B The Thurston County transmission rate has fallen below 200 cases per 100,000. As of this writing there are 137.9 cases per 100,000 residents over a 14-day running average. Important Notes: Previously we asked you to select either the in-person or remote learning option for your child(ren). In addition, we asked if you planned on having your child(ren) ride the bus to and/or from school. IF you have changed your preference, contact your child’s school ASAP. Otherwise, we will plan for your child(ren) to receive the program you have originally chosen. You will be contacted by First Student if you chose to access bus transportation. Please contact your child(ren)'s school if you have changed your preference regarding transportation. For families choosing in-person learning, we will be requiring families to complete a quarterly attestation. If you have not done so you can access the attestation form here. We will continue to do daily screening and temperature checks for all in-person students. For children currently receiving special education services at THS your child’s teacher will be reaching out to you if there is any change to your child’s program or schedule. We have been asked, what gives you confidence we can operate schools safely in a hybrid model? Essentially, the State and County departments of health are clear that the modeling data and school experiences across Washington State have shown mitigation measures, including symptom screening, robust contact tracing, mask wearing, physical distancing, facility cleaning, and hygiene mitigate the risks and are highly effective in reducing school transmission. Click here to read our County health officers letter to schools. We look forward to reopening and are anxious to see students back on campus. Regards, Joe Belmonte

This is an emergency weather message for all T9O school district staff and parents. Due to unsafe road conditions, all in-person learning is cancelled for Friday February 12, 2021 and students will receive instruction via remote learning only. Your child's teacher will be communicating the student plan for the day. All after school activities and athletics are cancelled and there will be no grab 'n go meals available for pick up or delivery. The district office will be closed to the public. Again, all schools in the T9O School district will be closed for in-person learning; there will be remote learning only Friday February 11, 2021 due to unsafe road conditions. Thank you
