Carson Schall was a finalist for Boys Track & Field Athlete of the Year. The Chronicle stated, "Schall won both hurdles races at Districts before placing third in both events at the State meet in Yakima a week later." Congratulations to Austin and Carson.

Join us for our Senior Band Concert on Wednesday, May 28th!

Congratulations to Tenino Track & Field Athlete Carson Schall who last Friday won first place in the 110m Hurdles at the 59th Shaner Invitational at Tumwater High School. This moment was extra special to Carson because his father won the same event at the Shaner Invitational 30 years prior while running for Yelm High School.
While Carson was the only Tenino track athlete at the Shaner Invite, Tenino track athletes competed at other meets on May 9th at the Spudder Track & Field Classic, the Freshman Invitational on May 10th and at the 1A Evergreen Non-Qualifier in Rochester on May 14th.
Track & Field isn't just about winning - it's about growth. Every race, every jump, every throw is a chance to beat your own best, to push past limits and set personal or season records. A PR or SR is proof of dedication, hard work and resilience. Victory isn't always about crossing the line first or standing on the podium - sometimes, it's knowing you improved. That feeling of surpassing your previous best? It's unmatched.
The following Tenino Track & Field athletes hit a PR or SR this past week: Samantha Smith, Brynn Williams, Ashton Moore, Weston Wachter-Parent, Hudson Thoren, Molly Nicholson, Darien Nelson, Cody Smith, Dawson Williams, Felix Fairbanks, Wyatt Sweet, Athena Causland and Carson Schall.
Congratulations!! The thrill of improvement, the satisfaction of knowing you left everything on the track and field, is something no one can take away from you. Keep chasing those PRs!

On behalf of the Tenino School District, we want to celebrate and thank Bus Driver, Richard Wells for FORTY-TWO YEARS of service to Tenino students!!
Richard served in the military and was a fire chief for many years. He began his bus driving days on September 1, 1982 and retired last month on December 31, 2024! Thank you Richard for so many wonderful years of service to our students and community. Enjoy your retirement!

Earlier this week, Mrs. Nilsen and her AP Government students took a field trip to the Capitol. TSD Board Member, Kasey Schiewe showed them around and they even got to meet Representative Jessica Bateman (soon to be State Senator). This was a great opportunity to enhance learning outside of the classroom! Thanks for sharing Mrs. Nilsen!

On Monday at our School Board Meeting, Mrs. Jeannie Crain and some of the THS Choir students joined us to sing some Christmas carols. They sounded amazing and it's always great to have students and staff at our meetings. 🎅🎄🎼🎹
If you'd like to hear them in person, the joint TMS/THS Holiday Choir Concert is this evening at Tenino High School beginning at 7pm.
